BJ - 2023

My fiancé BJ  is one of my favorite people to photograph. I documented him giving a cultural talk to school students on Yinibara Country in Mapleton. The images capture the moments after he demonstrated traditional fire-making techniques using fire sticks and dried cabbage palm leaves. His passion and dedication to sharing his culture are evident in every word, and is always an honor to hear him tell his story and the stories of his people.
