About the Photographer

Photography has been a constant in my life since I was a teenager. I was always the one in high school, camera in hand, documenting the world and the people around me. This habit of preserving moments led me to study photography at TAFE, where I completed a diploma in 2011 and 2012.

In 2013, I began working as a wedding and portrait photographer. It was an experience that allowed me to travel extensively and meet an incredible variety of people. For as long as I can remember, I felt compelled to photograph the world around me. Oddly enough, I never quite understood where this photographic instinct came from, as neither of my parents had much of an interest in photography. Then in 2023, I discovered that my dad was not my biological father. In learning about my biological dad, I found out that he shared my eye for photography and a passion for native Australian plants, bringing clarity to this lifelong creative drive of mine.

Black and white photography holds a special place in my heart. It strips away distraction, allowing for a deeper, more emotional connection with the subject. For me, there is a kind of darkness and intimacy in black and white that reflects the quiet, honest moments I seek to capture.
